Welcome to the Speak Life Podcast

We are a Gospel ministry reaching those in the field, on the water, on two wheels, behind a badge, and with a gun for Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 18:21 says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. We choose to speak life. L’chaim welcome to the speak life podcast.

The mission is to restore and strengthen the family; make followers of Jesus Christ, give hope, and to encourage one another. Rev. Blanchard officiates at weddings, funerals and provides pastoral service nationally to the individuals, couples and families. You can help this ministry grow: https://giv.li/p2nj61

I’ve asked this question on our Facebook page, Sunday, and got some strong responses.  Nobody likes it.  The Lord hates it. Talking about lying and what I’ve been doing lately. Bible reading about David and Saul.  Music from Richard Smallwood, I’ll Trust You. This ministry has a ASCAP license.

According to the Bible, the ninth of God’s Ten Commandments instructs that no person shall bear false witness against their neighbor. In other words, you shouldn’t lie.

There are many logical reasons to avoid telling lies

Remembering your lies

Losing people’s trust

A bad reputation

It’s addictive

Legal ramifications

Shattered relationships

Self-esteem

Losing your identity

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

Proverbs 12:22

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.

Proverbs 19:9

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish.

Psalm 101:7

No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.

Colossians 3:9-10

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

Proverbs 12:19

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
