Welcome to the Speak Life Podcast

This show is sponsored by SpeakLifeChurch.net

We are a Gospel ministry reaching those in the field, on the water, on two wheels, behind a badge, and with a gun for Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 18:21 says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. We choose to speak life. L’chaim welcome to the speak life podcast.

Speak Life Church is a IRS 501 (c)3 recognized religious charity, incorporated in the State of Maryland in 2018. Genesis 5:21-24 King James Version (KJV)

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch in Hebrew means: dedicated.

This African American Spiritual sung by Eric Bibb can be found on his "Roadworks" album  -Speak Life Church, Inc has a ASCAP music license.

Bible Reading - New Testament  - the Epistles

Although the first humans failed in their walk with God, some of their descendants turned, and returned. Enoch "walked with God."

"5:21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." (Genesis 5:21-24 KJV)

Noah "walked with God." Notice that the definition of "walking" with God is plainly included in the term. In contrast to "the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually," Noah was "a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God," so "Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD." Noah received grace because he obeyed the LORD

6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (who the LORD renamed as "Israel") all "walked" with God, as Jacob himself stated.

God "walks" with those who "walk" with Him.

"26:12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people." (Leviticus 26:12 KJV)

"Walking with God" requires no interpretation. It's plainly stated for those who truly seek to walk with God.

"5:32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. 5:33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess." (Deuteronomy 5:32-33 KJV)

The principle did not change with the "New Testament" era

"2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10 KJV)

"2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory." (1 Thessalonians 2:12 KJV)
